I Don't Just Write Songs. I Write From Life.
I'm a songwriter who writes from the heart and often prefers to let
the words speak before I do. You may find me with the hoodie on, behind the
scenes and away from the spotlight. Not because I'm ugly, nope, I'm good in that department but it's because I believe meaningful lyrics can say more than appearances ever could.
My purpose is simple: to use my skills to create songs that connect with people,
bring comfort, spark emotions, make their bodies move, and put smiles on their
faces.
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up listening
to all kinds of music because that was my parent's flavor. Country, R&B, rock, hip-hop,
pop, and everything in between--every sound left something with me. And over the years, those influences became part of how I write.
I write from experience, from what I've lived and seen, from what I've been taught, from good times and hard times. And from people I've loved, lessons learned, and
the moments that changed me.
I don't believe great music has to fit into one genre. If a sound moves me, I'm locked in. My music comes from many things. A heartbreak, a celebration, a mistake, and a moment when someone needed to hear the right words.
Connection--is what music means to me. But there is something bigger behind
why I write, and that my friends... is helping others.
And if my words can make you get up and dance, bob your head, and but a smile on your face, then the song has done its job.
